Philicia Thomas Recess Aide Hyatt Elementary L I N D E N C O M M U N I T Y S C H O O L S Philicia Thomas chose to work for LCS because her children have been a part of the district for six years now and she wants to get more involved in helping out! She is a mom of four girls ages 12, 9, 6, and 4. She is a wife (married for 13 years), they have 3 dogs, and she is a coach for Linden Little League Major Girls and has been a stay-at-home mom for the last 12 years. She loves to play softball, hunt, and having fun with friends and family. #LINDENEAGLETEAM

Alisha Books Art Teacher Hyatt/Central Elementary Alisha Books earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree while attending Baker, U of M Flint, and Oakland University. She has been married to her husband Matthew for nine years, and they have a son named Grayson, who will be starting kindergarten this year. She loves to run, read and go camping! We asked why she decided to work in education and she responded "I've always wanted to be a teacher and have always thought of myself as a lifelong learner. I love being a part of every child's life to help mold them into great citizens of the community!" #LINDENEAGLETEAM
