In preparation for the 2023-2024 school year, Linden Community Schools is hosting a hearing and vision screening clinic provided free of charge by the Genesee County Health Department.

This free service is offered for children ages 3 to 5 years old. Michigan House Bill 5094 requires parents with a student entering kindergarten to present a statement to school officials confirming they have received the Michigan Department of Community Health vision screening.  Students entering Kindergarten in a Michigan public school are required to have their vision screening within six months prior to the start of school. Head Start programs also require vision and hearing screenings before a child enters school.

Screenings will be conducted on Monday, June 5th and Tuesday, June 6th at Argentine Early Childhood Center located at 8483 W. Silver Lake Road in Linden. Appointment times are available between 8:30 am and 2:30 pm.  Call (810) 591-0320 to reserve a time slot.
