Linden Varsity Girls Soccer took on Swartz Creek tonight at home in another league match. The girls predominantly dominated the game both in possession and offensive opportunities, but would unfortunately be unable to find the back of the net. The Eagles would end the game in a draw 0 - 0. MVP for the match goes to Piper Nyman who has been a floating player for us filling in various positions when needed from defense to midfield. Piper relentlessly battled through without many breaks, pushing herself to the limit on the field despite exhaustion often finding a burst of energy when her team needed her most. Her determination and unwavering effort were pivotal in stopping the opponent from scoring and she also helped generate several scoring opportunities. She dug deep and continued to push forward, making key plays and helping set the tone for the team while keeping a positive attitude. #LindenSoccer #EaglePride #ProgressNotPerfection

Linden Varsity Girls Soccer traveled to Brandon tonight for another league match. The girls went down early in the match 1- 0 to Brandon but they weren't done. Shortly after our very own Emma Angus would score the ladies first goal of the season tying the game back up 1 - 1. The Eagles would take the lead going into halftime 2-1. It could be either team's game entering the second half but these girls wanted their first win and worked for it, dominating most of the game for a 4-1 victory over Brandon . MVP for the match goes to Lauren Shaw who has played outside back all season. She played phenomenal shut down defense the entire match never missing a beat . Lauren was a big key to our success tonight as she stopped every ball that came to our side while also being a key player to building our offense from the back. Lauren also assisted in apply immense pressure to Brandon's defense who would try to clear the ball from their half. But not on Lauren's watch, she stopped many of Brandon's clears. Remaining calm she often used some skill moves of her own to create space and service the ball back into our offense. Morgan Piotrovsky had 2 hits and drove in 4 runs!! Piotrovsky, Widner, Addyson Sturgis, Tessa Zilisch and Lily Guntharp all added 2 hits. In Game 2 Tessa Zilisch pitched well in a 7-5 defeat! Widner, Piotrovsky, Ella Kenyon and Lilly Ciesielski each had 2 hits!!!

Boys Varsity LAX lose to a very good Troy team 10-1.
